Musical Monday

Hey Loves! F & J here!
We haven't blogged in awhile because things have been crazy busy. We know that the weather in the east coast is a little chilly, to say the least! But here in Seattle the weather is beautiful and has us dreaming about summer.

We thought we'd share the sunshine with a playlist that should brighten your mood.

Enjoy!

Love is in the Air

Hey Loves! F & J here!

It seems like love is in the air everywhere! Even our morning coffee reminded us that Valentine's Day is just around the corner. (But how cute is that!)
Since F's sister is still in elementary school she still gets to celebrate with a party and Valentines. She decided to be the cool big sister and we hand made her valentines, all 30 of them! They were so easy and cute that we just had to share, so maybe you can pass on the love this Valentine's Day too!
Here's how we did it! We used good old fashioned card stock, a heart stencil, glue dots, scissors, twine, and washi tape.
Then we cut a heart out of the red paper and used the glue dots to glue it on the white that we had already cut into the size we wanted the Valentines to be. And ran a line of Washi Tape at the bottom of the card. For those of you who don't know what it is, it is just decorative tape and it's super handy when something needs a little pick me up. Every crafter should have some!
We found these super cute bubbles at Michaels, our local arts and crafts store and tied them to the card with some red and white twine.
This is how the ended up turning out and we think they look pretty cute, and they were super easy. F's little sister can't wait to pass them out! For added humor you could leave a cute little note saying something like, you blew me away!

F & J

Dreaming

Hey Loves! F & J here!
We just came across this picture, and we just love the way it looks. It is so beautiful! The quote is so fitting to our lives as well. We have a serious case of Wanderlust and unfortunately we are not able to cure it for a while, so we have to remember not to lose our sense of wonder. We know that it is really easy to get caught up in the day to day stuff, and for life to get the best of us.We are working long days, and hoping to save up money to travel to our hearts content, but with bills, college debt, and life expenses our dreams are not in sight, and that can be hard sometimes. Being hopeful does not come easy and you always have to work hard to keep your dreams alive. But on days like today we know how important it is keep your sense of wonder. Dreams are important to have and never lose sight of. It's what makes us strive to be better, and something to look forward to. Anything you can do in your everyday life to achieve your goals is something we all should take advantage of. We have our coin jar that we add to everyday, and this shows us that even a little bit of change can bring you one step closer to your dreams.

Love,

F & J
